Ingredients & Substitutions
- Tortilla Chips - You will need enough chips to cover the sheet pan.
- Cheese - We like to use cheddar cheese for this recipe, because we always have it stocked in our fridge. We also recommend grating the cheese yourself, because it will melt better than store-bought shredded cheese.
- Ground Meat - We like to add ground beef or venison to this recipe to make it more filling. You can use whatever ground meat you have on hand.
- Salsa - A little bit of salsa adds a lot of flavor to the nachos. Do not go overboard with the salsa, because too much can make the chips soggy.
- Tomato - A diced tomato adds fresh flavor to the nachos.
- Black Beans - Black beans add flavor and make the dish more filling.
- Red Onion - Finely diced red onion adds fresh flavor to the dish.
- Toppings - After the nachos bake in the oven, we like to top them with fresh cilantro and sour cream to serve.
